02 Jul Commissioning Manager – Data Centres – Electrical
At MiCiM, we specialise in delivering end-to-end project management and construction solutions for the Data Centre and Mission Critical sectors. Our collaborative and transparent approach sets the standard for excellence, and we’re looking for a talented Electrical Engineer to join our industry-leading commissioning team.
As a Commissioning Manager, you’ll play a vital role in planning, overseeing, and delivering robust commissioning processes on high-profile construction and engineering projects. You’ll work closely with our site teams, specialist contractors, and independent witnessing authorities to ensure everything is tested, documented, and handed over exactly as promised.
About the role:
We’re looking for someone with technical expertise, a passion for quality, and the leadership to bring complex systems to life, from factory acceptance to final handover.
You will:
* Lead the full commissioning lifecycle—from planning and risk management to final system sign-off.
* Act as the go-to expert on all things commissioning, coordinating with project managers, cost managers, consultants, and clients.
* Develop and maintain commissioning strategies, plans, and trackers aligned with MiCiM’s ISO-accredited processes.
* Attend and coordinate off-site testing and factory witness visits.
* Guide teams through Level 1–5 testing and sign-off procedures.
* Proactively manage risks, escalate issues, and identify opportunities to improve delivery.
* Ensure that safety, quality, and client satisfaction are at the heart of every project.
About you:
* A confident and experienced engineer with a background in MEP systems and project commissioning.
* Strong leadership skills and a calm, collaborative approach under pressure.
* Excellent communication and coordination skills, managing multiple stakeholders.
* A methodical mindset and the ability to refine commissioning programmes in real time.
We offer a competitive salary package with performance-based bonuses, along with comprehensive benefits including 24 days annual leave, Christmas shutdown, career development opportunities, and a supportive, inclusive work environment focused on work-life balance and diversity.
Ready to launch your career with MiCiM? We’d love to hear from you.
MiCiM recognises the lack of representation of minority groups in construction and is committed to building a diverse, inclusive environment where everyone can be themselves. We make employment decisions based on skills, competencies, and experiences relevant to each role.
