Production Scheduler (Sheet Metal)
Based in the Lisburn area, my client is a leading sheet metal manufacturing company who are market leaders in their field and who have the lowest turnover of staff that I have come across. They rarely recruit due to their excellent work environment, and they are seeking to recruit a Production Scheduler who has experience working within a manufacturing environment.
On offer is a salary of £36,000 - £40,000, 33 holidays, pension, life assurance and a 1pm finish every Friday. My client is offering a secure, well paid and exciting job for the rest of your career. It is important to note that they do not work overtime and you will leave for home promptly on a daily basis.
Role – Production Scheduler
Review all MRP job suggestions on a daily basis and confirm requirements for both Make to Stock (MTS) and Make to Order (MTO) jobs.
Ensure production volumes are in line with capacity constraints before releasing job cards onto the floor and where necessary adjust dates to match production ability.
Communicate to sales if any required need by dates will not be met due to capacity
Help production manage both labour and equipment resources by managing the schedule of jobs on the shop floor on a daily basis.
Alongside production determine the raw material requirements for long term projects, itemising the correct tonnage of different size coil, sheet and blanks.
Alongside the Group Material Planner liaise with suppliers to determine the best cost and delivery schedule for raw material. Identify situations where longer than expected lead times of raw material could have detrimental impact on finished goods delivery
Alongside the Group Material Planner ensure any agreed upon quarterly pricing and quotas are adhered to. Manage outstanding POs to ensure all items arrive on time.
Person – Production Scheduler
Recent experience in a production scheduling related role within a mechanical engineering manufacturing environment.
Strong working knowledge of planning and scheduling processes.
