Job Title: Conservation Officer

This is a challenging opportunity to join our team as a Conservation Officer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for advising the local authority on architectural heritage and conservation provisions, contributing to the development of a conservation policy, and promoting and implementing such policies.

The role involves preparing responses to Architectural Conservation related submissions, attending meetings where issues of Conservation arise, identifying, evaluating, and providing advice on structures, groups of structures, areas, and other features of architectural heritage.

The successful candidate will have a satisfactory knowledge of history and historic building typologies, a good working knowledge and understanding of architectural conservation, experience of participating in managing and leading multi-disciplinary teams, and excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Satisfactory knowledge of Kildare's history and historic building typologies.

- Good working knowledge and understanding of architectural conservation and its role in the planning and development process.

- Experience of participating in managing and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
