Heavy Goods Vehicle Technician Role Overview
Job Purpose and Responsibilities
We are seeking a qualified Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Technician to join our team. As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair work on our fleet of trucks.
* Servicing and planned safety inspections.
* MOT Preparation.
* Diagnosing faults in vehicle systems.
* Responding promptly to breakdowns on site and on the road when required.
* Working closely with the team to maintain our fleet of vehicles.
The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Be a time-served mechanic with experience working on heavy goods vehicles.
* Have previous experience of servicing plant machinery and heavy goods vehicles.
* Hold a full driving license.
* Have a good awareness of health and safety requirements.
