Overview
Our client, a growing management consultancy specialising in technology, change, and transformation programmes, is seeking a Managing Consultant to join their expanding Irish team.
This position represents an opportunity to combine business development, client relationship management, and delivery leadership in a single high-impact role. The successful candidate will take ownership of both winning and delivering complex projects for enterprise clients across multiple sectors.
It suits an individual who is commercially astute, delivery-driven, and comfortable operating at senior stakeholder level—someone who thrives in both sales and execution environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the full lifecycle of client engagements, from opportunity identification to successful delivery and close-out.
* Generate new business opportunities through an established network of client relationships and industry connections.
* Shape proposals and Statements of Work (SoWs), ensuring commercial viability and alignment with client objectives.
* Oversee delivery governance, programme health, and performance reporting.
* Coach, mentor, and mobilise delivery teams and associates to achieve excellence.
* Contribute to internal practice development, thought leadership, and continuous improvement.
* Maintain accountability for project margin, risk, and client satisfaction.
Candidate Profile
* 8+ years’ experience in consulting, programme delivery, or project governance within a recognised consulting or project services environment.
* Proven track record of originating and securing new business through a personal network or prior client base.
* Strong background in leading technology, transformation, or change programmes with cross-functional teams.
* Deep understanding of programme and project management frameworks (PRINCE2, MSP, PMP, Agile).
* Commercial acumen with experience in SoW pricing, bid shaping, and P&L ownership.
* Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging at C-suite and executive level.
* Degree qualified; relevant professional certifications desirable.
