Position: H&S Officer / CoordinatorLocation: Kingscourt, IrelandSalary: €40,000Reporting to: Environmental Health & Safety ManagerAbout the RoleWe are seeking a proactive and detail oriented EH&S Officer / Coordinator to support the delivery and maintenance of a robust Environmental, Health & Safety programme across site. Reporting directly to the Environmental Health & Safety Manager, this role will assist in ensuring compliance with regulatory, corporate, and ISO standards while promoting a positive and proactive safety culture throughout the business. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious EH&S professional looking to develop their career within a supportive and fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the implementation and maintenance of EH&S policies, procedures, and management systems.Assist in ensuring compliance with EPA, corporate, legal, and ISO requirements.Support ISO management systems, including audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.Maintain EH&S documentation, records, and reporting systems.Assist with incident investigations, corrective actions, and follow-up activities.Participate in risk assessments and support hazard identification processes.Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.Support emergency preparedness and response activities.Promote a positive safety culture through employee engagement and awareness initiatives.Assist in delivering EH&S training and inductions where required.Qualifications / Education / ExperienceDegree in Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.1-3 years' experience in an EH&S or similar role is desirable.Knowledge of environmental and health & safety legislation.Experience supporting ISO management systems preferred.Skills & Key CharacteristicsExcellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and MS Outlook.Strong time management and organisational skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to interpret regulations and support practical implementation.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Ability to influence and engage with colleagues across all levels of the business.Proactive approach with strong attention to detail.Contact DetailsFor more information or to apply, please contact: Nicola Evans HRGO Recruitment (phone number removed)
