Position: Staff Nurse Children's Hub (2 x part time positions) Grade: Staff Nurse Location: Montenotte, Cork.
Hours: 37.5 hours over a two-week period (evening and weekend work will be part of the role) Employment type: Part Time Permanent Salary: The Department of Health & Children Consolidated Scales apply.
About the Role As a Staff Nurse in our Children's Hub you will be a key part of a dynamic and supportive team providing high-quality, person-centred care.
You will work collaboratively with all team members in the Hub and across all short breaks services in the region to support the complex healthcare needs and children and young people accessing our services.
Key Responsibilities Deliver nursing care to children and young people with intellectual disabilities and / or autism.
Support the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individual support plans / short breaks passports in conjunction with the child's disability network team (CDNT) and other relevant services.
Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and contribute to service development.
Ensure safeguarding, dignity and inclusion are central to all practice.
Requirements: Possess a relevant third level qualification in Nursing, be on the live register of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland Possess a valid up to date work visa to work in Ireland.
Have very good interpersonal skills and the flexibility to meet the changing needs of the people Horizons supports are essential requirements.
Experience working with people with children with an intellectual disabilities and/or autism is an advantage.
Excellent communication skills.
Have proficent IT Skills Be flexibile and a team player A full clean driving license is essential.
