Job description
My client, a leading supplier and distributor in Ireland, seek to hire a Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Lead.
This role will suit someone with experience in health, safety, and environmental (HSE) management.
The successful candidate will cover all sites in Ireland.
Responsibilities
1. Strategic Safety Leadership - Support senior management and function heads in implementing departmental HSE action plans.
2. Regulatory Compliance - Develop and maintain health and safety management systems in line with legislation, regulatory requirements, and ISO standards.
3. Audits & Compliance - Conduct audits, identify risks, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
4. Risk Assessments - Support and review risk assessments, including chemical safety evaluations.
5. Project Management - Lead or support HSE-related continuous improvement projects.
6. Training & Awareness - Ensure HSE training programs are delivered and records maintained.
7. Policies & Procedures - Develop safety manuals, procedures, and checklists.
8. Continuous Improvement - Work with teams to enhance safety, sustainability, and environmental standards.
9. Incident Investigation - Analyze accidents/incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective measures.
Requirements
10. A L8 in health, safety, and environmental (HSE) qualification, along with a NEBOSH Diploma (minimum requirement).
11. At least three year's experience in HSE, advising on legislation and ISO standards.
12. Experience with ISO 17020.
13. Human Factors Engineering (HFE) assessments.
14. Internal/Lead Auditor qualifications.
