Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Assistant will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day activities of the finance department. The successful candidate will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines. This role also offers the opportunity to contribute to process improvements and support the ongoing development of efficient financial systems and procedures. Role Responsibilities Process supplier invoices accurately and assist with payment runs Perform regular supplier statement reconciliations Resolve supplier queries in a timely and professional manner Prepare weekly bank lodgements Process and review employee expenses and payment requests Issue invoices, credit notes, and refunds accurately Support the management of receivables to ensure timely collections Monitor customer accounts and resolve discrepancies Reconcile bank accounts, direct debits, and credit cards Investigate and resolve any discrepancies Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledgers and spreadsheets Assist with month-end processes, including journal postings Support audit requirements and preparation of statutory accounts Investigate financial discrepancies and support reporting and analysis Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements Candidate Requirements: 24 years experience in a finance or accounts assistant role Accounting Technician qualification or part-qualified (e.g., ACCA, CPA) Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines High level of accuracy and attention to detail Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Strong numerical and analytical skills Interested in this opportunity?
