Job Title: Research and Development (R&D) Manager
Job Summary
The Research and Development Manager is responsible for leading the design, development, and improvement of products, processes, or technologies.
This role manages R&D projects, supervises technical teams, ensures innovation aligns with business goals, and drives continuous improvement to maintain competitiveness in the market.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, manage, and oversee research and development projects from concept to completion
Lead and mentor R&D engineers, scientists, and technical staff
Identify new product opportunities, technologies, and market trends
Develop prototypes, conduct testing, and evaluate results
Collaborate with production, quality, marketing, and sales teams
Manage R&D budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently
Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation
Protect intellectual property through patents and confidentiality processes
Continuously improve existing products and processes
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, or related field
5–10 years of experience in research and development or product development
Proven experience in managing technical teams and projects
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and innovation skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Knowledge of industry regulations, quality systems, and R&D methodologies
Experience with project management tools and budgeting
