Our Community Nursing Unit in Co Laois seeks a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team.
About the Role
* This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about providing person-centred care and making a positive impact on the lives of older adults.
In this role, you will be working closely with our interdisciplinary team to coordinate activities and provide individualised support to 10 older persons. Your day will be filled with variety, from planning group activities and devising individual activity plans to ensuring the comfort and well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
* Organise and deliver engaging activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents, including long stay residents and short stay respite/convalescence.
* Develop and implement individual activity plans that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive well-being, incorporating personal care, nail care, arts and crafts, baking, sewing, painting, storytelling, reminiscence, companionship, and walks outdoors.
* Coordinate group activities such as music, dance, movies, seasonal events, and celebrations, fostering a sense of community and social connection among our residents.
