Key Responsibilities
Qualifications: The candidate should be a qualified accountant.
Financial Oversight: Provide insights into financial policies and controls, propose recommendations, and monitor financial procedures.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure the organisation adheres to compliance and risk management standards.
Board Advisory: Advise the board on financial implications, cash flow issues, and other financial matters.
Finance Committee Role: Serve on the Finance Committee to evaluate and monitor financial controls and ensure compliance with best practices.
Authorised Signatory: Act as an authorised signatory for the charity.
General Trustee Duties
Comply with the charity’s governing document.
Ensure the charity fulfils its purpose for public benefit.
Act in the charity’s best interest with reasonable care and skill.
Manage the charity’s assets responsibly.
Meetings
There are 10 board scheduled board meetings held in Navan with online options available. Finance sub-committee meetings are held online and held prior to a board meeting. Specific sub-committee meetings held as required and agreed.
