We are currently recruiting for a crucial leadership role on a major construction project in Kerry.
Job Overview
This position will require approximately two years of dedication and will involve overseeing all aspects of site management to ensure the project is completed on time and to the highest standards.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage daily and weekly work plans aligned with the project programme, ensuring efficient execution and minimal delays.
* Coordinate plant, labor, and material requirements to optimize operations and prevent congestion.
* Sequence operations efficiently, including excavation, formwork, rebar installation, and concrete pours, to meet design specifications and safety standards.
* Plan plant movement and manage access routes to maintain a safe and productive working environment.
* Allocate tasks to the workforce, promoting optimal productivity and job satisfaction.
* Manage and maintain plant usage logs, ensuring efficient deployment and minimizing downtime.
* Ensure compliance with RAMS and site-specific safety requirements, prioritizing the health and wellbeing of staff.
* Maintain accurate and detailed site diaries, capturing work progress, workforce levels, and plant usage, to inform project decisions.
* Record and report any delays, issues, or design conflicts to the Project Manager, facilitating prompt resolution and minimizing impact.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
* At least five years' experience in planning, directing, and coordinating projects on site, demonstrating expertise and leadership skills.
* A related construction qualification, such as HNC or Degree, showcasing technical knowledge and understanding.
* Strong IT and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and data management.
