This senior leadership role has full responsibility for the finance function and strategic growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Management: The appointed individual will oversee financial operations, including profit and loss management, balance sheet management, forecasting, budgeting, key performance indicator reporting, and process improvements.
* Strategic Planning: They will provide financial insight and analysis to guide business decisions, contributing to long-term planning and the delivery of growth strategies.
* Commercial Insight: Collaboration with commercial teams on pricing, margin control, and sales strategy is required, providing data-driven insights to inform decision-making at a senior level.
* Treasury & Risk: Cash flow management, banking relationships, insurance, and working capital support are necessary, along with assistance in debt and equity finance activities as needed.
* Leadership & Development: A collaborative culture within finance and across the wider business must be fostered, working closely with senior colleagues in operations, sales, and procurement to support organisational growth and efficiency.
Ideal Candidate:
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role within finance is required.
* Professional accounting qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) are essential.
* Implementation of financial controls and driving operational change experience is necessary.
* A background in manufacturing, FMCG, or engineering is preferred.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills are required.
* Commercial acumen with a hands-on approach is essential.
