This role provides expert support in the areas of general safety, high-risk work, and contractor management. The successful candidate will play a key part in maintaining compliance with Irish health, safety, and environmental legislation, while driving the site's safety culture and supporting multiple high-impact projects.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as subject matter expert (SME) for general safety and high-risk work programmes (e.g., electrical safety, lockout/tagout, hot work, confined space entry).Provide safety leadership and guidance for new and ongoing projects.Support environmental programmes related to air, water, and waste.Participate in safety teams, inspections, audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments.Lead contractor management activities, ensuring safe work practices across site operations.Deliver training sessions and contribute to building a strong safety-first culture.Drive compliance with relevant Irish legislation, industry best practices, and company standards.Track and report performance against EHS objectives and KPIs.Partner with cross-functional teams to implement change and ensure effective risk mitigation.Education & QualificationsBachelor's degree in science, Engineering, Environmental, or Occupational Health & Safety discipline (or equivalent).Experience & SkillsMinimum 7 years' experience in EHS, engineering, or operations within the pharmaceutical, chemical, biotech, petrochemical, or related process industries.Strong knowledge of Irish health, safety, and environmental regulations.Demonstrated expertise in high-risk work programmes and contractor management.Experience supporting multiple projects and managing change initiatives.Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders across all levels of an organisation.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritise and deliver results.A proactive, safety-first mindset with a track record of driving EHS improvements.What's on OfferOpportunity to work with a global pharmaceutical leader.Competitive salary and benefits package.A role with high visibility, responsibility, and impact.A chance to influence EHS culture in a world-class manufacturing environment.
