Key Responsibilities:

", "", "• Adhere to project Astatine Safety Management system.", "", "• Comply with Environmental, Health & Safety statutory provisions & legislation.", "", "• Maintain adherence to Astatine & Environmental, Health & Safety Plans.", "", "• Coordinate task specific Method statements, risk assessments, safe plan of action, permit to work.", "", "• Ensure compliance with the project safety statement.", "", "• Coordinate project safety indicators.", "", "• Implement and manage good Safety Practices; conducting ongoing health and safety assessments, controlling hazardous substances, ensuring safety interventions are completed & registered.", "", "• Conduct regular site audits and inspections, documenting results and following up on any corrective actions.", "", "• Maintain records of statutory inspections available for project activities, tools, and plant.", "", "• Adopt a proactive approach to project EHS requirements.", "", "• Collaborate as part of a team or independently.", "", "• Provide Safety input to site management & at site EHS forums.", "", "• Ensure project sub-contractors adhere to project EHS policies & procedures.", "", "• Coordinate Astatine's site induction & training, managing & maintaining them.", "", "• Ensure Project PPE is resourced & available.", "", "• Compile & carry out Toolbox talks, as necessary.", "", "• Assist in or conduct accident investigation reports in a timely manner & communicate to the Mercury project management team.", "", "• Ensure welfare & hygiene facilities are in place, managed & maintained.", "", "• Liaise with site Project Management on environmental, health & safety issues.", "", "• Maintain up-to-date documentation to be included with the Safety File.", "", "• Maintain waste reduction and recycling programmes according to project policies & procedures.", "

Essential Criteria for the Role:
", "
", "", "• Relevant third level Certificate qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety.", "", "• 5+ years' experience of managing environmental, health and safety on large construction sites.", "", "• Thorough knowledge of current environmental, health and safety legislation.", "", "• Flexibility in working patterns where necessary.", "", "• Ability to efficiently manage all environmental, health and safety issues on site.", "", "• Ability to work on own initiative and possess strong interpersonal and communications skills.", "
