Our goal is to provide comprehensive process engineering support for both existing and new processes, ensuring that the site's technical, quality, and safety metrics are achieved. Although not directly responsible for certain activities, the successful candidate will support process design, start-up, changeovers, efficiency improvements, capital projects, and new technologies at the Cork Site. We are looking for undergraduate Chemical and Process engineering students to complete a work placement. The duration will range from 4 to 15 months, depending on individual circumstances. Apply now to avail of this fantastic opportunity to gain direct Pharmaceutical Manufacturing experienceThe key responsibilities are:Acquire and maintain a detailed understanding of the process, equipment, and facilities.Supply to development initiatives and be passionate about process understanding, control, and capability and assist in resolving technical investigations.Support process and equipment optimisation activities and aid in implementing plant modifications.Help with process start-up activities by generating relevant documentation and provide technical support for product changeovers, including generating cleaning calculations and completing cleaning risk assessments.Maintain an active process engineering knowledge repository to ensure all product knowledge is updated and accessible.You will also support the plant process engineering team by:Gaining a detailed knowledge of the technical aspects of the plant and associated facilities.Working in a high-performance team (HPT) partnership with other teams and functions when vital and support in identifying plant modifications to optimise performance.Supporting relevant capital projects and engaging fully in project science to promote innovation and creativity.EHSSafety is the foundation of everything we do at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. in Cork.
