Bid Director role at Actavo.
Responsibilities
 * Lead the bid team, including coaching, mentoring, and motivating team members and subject matter experts to ensure alignment with bid objectives and timelines.
 * Develop a winning strategy in collaboration with the sales and delivery teams and ensure alignment with customer requirements.
 * Review and analyse bid opportunities, including RFPs/ITTs and other procurement documents, to assess feasibility, risks, opportunities, and potential returns.
 * Provide strategic guidance and direction throughout the bid lifecycle, from opportunity identification and qualification to bid preparation, submission, and post-submission activities.
 * Manage the bid budget, resource allocations, and subcontractor/vendor relationships to optimise bid delivery.
 * Conduct bid kick-off meetings, strategy sessions, and progress reviews to ensure effective communication, coordination, and accountability across bid teams.
 * Continuously monitor and evaluate bid performance to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes; ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations and standards.
Requirements
 * Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as engineering or business; additional certifications in project management or bid management are a plus.
 * Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and a results-oriented mindset focused on achieving business objectives and targets.
 * Minimum of 3 years of experience in the general contracting industry with a proven track record in bid management or related field.
 * Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower bid teams to achieve objectives and deliver high-quality results.
 * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
 * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound business decisions under tight deadlines.
