Principal Recruiter - Specialising in Marketing, Sales & Business Specialist Across Beauty, FMCG & Diverse Industries | Driving Growth & Innovation

As a leading business distributor, our client is dedicated to delivering top-quality products and services to retail partners across various sectors. With a talented team of over 250 professionals, they are committed to meeting the unique needs of their customers with exceptional precision. In their continued growth, they are now seeking a Store Development Team Lead to manage the overall responsibility for store design and brand development.


Day to Day Responsibilities

* Lead the day-to-day operations of the Store Development Department, managing resources, workflows, and project prioritisation.
* Oversee new store conversions and upgrades, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and compliant with company branding and design standards.
* Approve project budgets, timelines, and purchase orders, maintaining alignment with company procedures and objectives.
* Collaborate with the Retail Expansion and Developments Manager to set project priorities and ensure clear communication across teams.
* Manage relationships with nominated suppliers, ensuring high-quality, timely, and cost-effective delivery of store projects.
* Monitor departmental performance, conduct regular team reviews, and implement lean, efficient work practices.
* Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Welfare legislation, promoting a safe and compliant work environment.
* Drive innovation in store development, introducing new retail concepts and responding to market trends.
* Participate in company sustainability and employee engagement programs, promoting company values.
* Foster strong internal and external relationships, responding to customer feedback and maintaining the company’s reputation for excellence.


The ideal you

* Strong retail knowledge – deep understanding of the Irish grocery sector and category management.
* Legal and compliance awareness – clear grasp of store layout regulations and category restrictions.
* Technical skills – proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Store equipment expertise – solid knowledge of refrigeration, fixtures, and key suppliers.
* Commercial mindset – strong financial awareness and negotiation skills.
* Leadership ability – proven team management and communication skills across all levels.
* Analytical and problem-solving – systematic approach with strong numeracy and reporting skills.
* Adaptable and self-driven – able to prioritise, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* Professional qualities – motivated, positive, committed to ongoing development, and holds a full clean driving licence.
* Relevant education – Leaving Certificate plus a Business Degree and Project Management qualification.
