Job Title: Property Assessment Manager Location: South Dublin Working Model: On-site (five days per week) Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Property Assessment Manager to join our client in South Dublin.
This is an office-based technical leadership role focused on property assessment, operational oversight and developing the claims capability within the home insurance function.
The successful candidate will draw on a construction, engineering or surveying background to cost property damage accurately, manage external providers and support the growth of a structured property claims operation.
This role suits someone with strong technical credibility, practical experience and the drive to help shape processes, workflows and contractor networks.
Your Role Provide technical oversight of property damage assessments, ensuring accurate costing and evaluation of home claims.
Manage and support a small technical team while overseeing external service providers.
Develop and refine processes, procedures and quality controls for the property claims function.
Help build the internal capability of the department, including identifying resource needs and supporting team development.
Engage with builders and contractors, supporting the creation of a preferred repair network.
Reduce reliance on cash settlement by promoting repair-led solutions where appropriate.
Review reports and recommendations from third-party assessors, ensuring clarity, accuracy and value for money.
Contribute to broader operational and technical improvements within home claims.
Your Skills Background in construction, engineering, quantity surveying, loss assessing or a similar technical field.
Strong costing and property evaluation skills, with the ability to assess damage accurately.
Experience managing suppliers, contractors or technical service providers.
Previous leadership experience, ideally within a technical or operational setting.
Practical, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving ability.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Willingness to pursue insurance qualifications where not already held.
Strong work ethic, proactive mindset and ability to contribute to building a best-practice claims function.
Experience in the Insurance industry advantageous.
Insurance exams APA, CIP are also advantageous.
