I am currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a driven and proactive individual to join a well-established, reputable organisation in the construction sector as a Junior Procurement Officer.
In this role, you’ll play an important part in the operations team, supporting procurement, accounts, ESG, and fleet and tool management. You’ll report directly to the Procurement Manager and work closely with both internal colleagues and external vendors, while managing documentation and procurement schedules.
This is a full-time permanent position, based near Ashbourne, Co. Meath. Initially onsite 5 days a week moving to hybrid working post probation.
Responsibilities:
* Preparing and issuing purchase orders using procurement software. Building strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely handling of enquiries.
* Document Control: Supporting the accounts team by ensuring supplier delivery documentation is processed promptly via the procurement system.
* Quotations & Tenders: Issuing enquiries to suppliers for materials, plant hire, tools and vehicles. Reviewing quotes and preparing analysis for the Procurement Manager.
* Fleet Administrator: Act as the main point of contact for managing the company fleet.
* Supporting the Procurement Manager with the rollout of ESG initiatives over the next 12–24 months. Assisting with implementing software used to measure and report the Group’s carbon footprint
Experience Required
* Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an administrative role
* Exceptional organisational and multitasking skills.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel.
* Knowledge of Construction, products and services is highly advantageous.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities, proactive, with a can-do attitude.
* Ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion.
* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team and liaise effectively with various departments.
