Experienced Structural Engineer required for a new role in an established team in Cork.
We’re representing a long-established and highly regarded Irish engineering consultancy with a strong presence in Cork and across Munster. Due to continued project growth, they’re looking for a Structural Engineer to join their expanding team in Cork.

* Educational Facilities - New school builds, extensions, and university campus works
* Healthcare Projects - Primary care centres, hospital refurbishments, and community healthcare buildings
* Public & Infrastructure Projects - Local authority civic buildings, bridge upgrades, and road infrastructure
* Sustainability & Retrofit Works - Energy‑efficient retrofits, structural upgrades, and conservation projects
Duties
* Deliver high‑quality structural designs across commercial, residential, healthcare, and educational projects
* Undertake structural analysis, design calculations, and detailed modelling using standard design software
* Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other design disciplines to achieve coordinated project delivery
* Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
* Attend site visits, inspections, and design team meetings
* Ensure all work complies with Irish Building Regulations and Eurocodes
* Provide technical guidance to graduate engineers and technicians
Requirements
* Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (Level 8 or equivalent)
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in structural design (buildings, infrastructure, or both)
* Proficiency in analysis and design software (e.g., Tekla, STAAD, Tedds, Revit, or equivalent)
* Sound understanding of Irish building standards, Eurocodes, and construction processes
* Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
* A proactive mindset and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative design team
* Based in or within commuting distance of Cork City
