General Maintenance Operative – Permanent Full Time (July 2023)Shannon Heritage Title of Post: General Maintenance OperativeReporting to Operations / Facilities Manager and Maintenance Manager.ResponsibilitiesUndertake all duties related to the upkeep, cleaning and general daily maintenance of Shannon Heritage sites, including grounds, buildings and their environs.Perform full cleaning procedures at the start and end of each day, focusing on public areas, back of house, offices, doors, windows, floors, and other surfaces.Conduct remedial maintenance in public areas and back of house as needed throughout the day.Execute periodic deep cleaning tasks directed by the Operations Manager.Maintain and clean grounds and car park, attending to litter, emptying bins, sweeping, and similar tasks.Report any damage or malfunctions promptly in the maintenance logbook.Carry out simple general repairs as required.Assist the Maintenance Manager in ensuring all sites meet agreed standards and deadlines.Complete work schedules as directed by management.Assess general maintenance requirements at all sites and perform necessary works when appropriate.Safeguard all maintenance equipment.Assist qualified maintenance contractors and engineers with equipment repairs.Clean exterior and interior windows, doors, floors, and glass as needed.Monitor and maintain Shannon Heritage systems following operating procedures and management directives.Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers of the Shannon Heritage Sites.Ensure compliance with all company procedures.Follow all Health and Safety regulations outlined in the Health & Safety Statement.Assist with Health and Safety precautions for visitors.Perform any other reasonable duties as directed by Management.Qualifications & RequirementsFluency in the English language.Previous experience in general maintenance and cleaning.Ability to deliver high‑level customer service.Excellent customer focus and experience in a direct customer‑facing environment.Flexibility and a strong problem‑solving approach to issues.Proven ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.Positive, flexible, and customer‑oriented attitude.Trade qualification is not required.Skills: General Maintenance, cleaning, and customer orientation.
