The Role
Uisce Éireann IT (UÉ IT) provides IT services and support to the wider Uisce Éireann business. IT Operations is responsible for all operational run activities across Applications, Service Management and Infrastructure.
The Enterprise Applications team are responsible for implementing, upgrading, and supporting all UÉ enterprise applications such as Financials, HR and Payroll Systems, Enterprise Reporting Tools, ECM systems, SharePoint/Alfresco and Service Now. The team support the development, enhancement, and configuration of such applications from conceptualisation through to deployment and benefit realisation. The implementation of new enterprise applications as a result of UÉT involves planning, analysis, test, and implementation of business solutions in project or BAU change contexts. The enterprise applications team support in the design and build activity and offer ongoing support of such solutions.
Reporting to the Enterprise Applications Manager, the Enterprise Content Management Technical Lead supports the full suite of Uisce Éireann IT Enterprise Content Management systems (Alfresco, MSSharePoint and Teams). This involves planning, analysis, test, and implementation of business solutions in project or BAU contexts, including supporting design and build activity where required within the IT team. This role requires strong IT application operations and team management skills, and candidates will ideally come from a utility background with demonstrable leadership, communication and relationship management skills. This role requires collaboration and sharing of IT team responsibilities across the IT Applications team as required and requires close alignment with the Enterprise Applications Manager.
Main Duties and Responsibilities

Engage with the business and IT Business Partners to ensure that business requirements are understood and met by the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) team and that enterprise applications requirements are fulfilled.
Monitor usage of portfolio of Enterprise Content Management systems across the relevant Uisce Éireann business areas to include Finance, HR etc.
Provide effective leadership to a motivated and talented Enterprise Content Management team across various geographical locations.
Coach, mentor and further develop the team to high performance in delivering IT content management services to Uisce Éireann with a strong customer service focus.
Manage the development of ECM systems, maintain and support services to Uisce Éireann including the analysis, design, development, testing and transition of changes to specific applications.
Support the development, enhancement, and configuration of ECM from conceptualisation through deployment and benefit realisation.
Assist in the delivery of the Applications Change Management process and assess the impact and risk of proposed application changes.
Support the development of ECM strategies that align with enterprise goals and promote the implementation of and adherence to applicable standards.
Ensure the continuous improvement of IT Application Support and Delivery processes.
Work collaboratively across the various IT teams to deliver on business objectives.
participate in the annual budget process.
Implement, monitor and report on relevant monthly KPIs and promote strong IT governance.
Provide out-of-hours cover as part of the Standby Rota and participate in out of hours work as required

General Duties and Responsibilities

Collaboration with key internal stakeholders across the UÉ business, including but not limited to;
Wider IT Teams, notably Service Management, Cyber Security and Architecture teams
Data Protection, Risk Management and Business Continuity teams
Project Teams across the business
Responsible for promoting and delivering health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standards.
Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation-wide objectives.
Provide visible leadership for your team, coaching and developing them to achieve their full potential and deliver business objectives, promoting collaboration and highlighting the behaviours that are expected from everyone in the team.
Conducts duties and responsibilities in accordance with Uisce Éireann’s Information Security policies, standards, processes and controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of UÉ business information and delivery of critical services, in accordance with the NIS Directive and any other relevant cybersecurity regulation.
Other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

4+ years of hands‑on experience in the management, development and/or architecture of ECM systems, particularly Alfresco and/or SharePoint is desirable
Relevant technical certification(s) in ECM systems is desirable
Data Management certification(s) and/or experience is desirable
Relevant third level qualification and or accreditation is desirable and or relevant experience
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the water, utilities or similar industries is desirable
Demonstrated people management experience, with strong people, change management and conflict resolution skills
Experience providing coaching in the development of the technical skills and abilities in others
Highly motivated individual, working to the highest professional standards and with proven ability to deliver results
Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and analyse problems and potential improvements, and propose and implement solutions
Demonstrate adaptability and the ability to change focus and direction in line with business strategy and requirements
Proactively identifying new areas of improvement and using newly gained knowledge and skill on the job.
