HR Advisor Job Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our team on a 12-month maternity leave contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering key HR advice to sector members on all HR, workforce, and recruitment matters.
Responsibilities:
* Advise members on the handling of employee relations issues, including management of grievance and disciplinary cases
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation
* Address challenges in recruitment and retention
* Ensure pathways to recruit staff and promote transparency
* Provide advice on overseas recruitment, including permits and sources of candidates
* Project manage ad-hoc recruitment and workforce planning issues
* Maintain recruitment websites and use social media to promote vacancies
* Plan, budget, and provide training and webinars on relevant sector-specific topics
* Partner with finance for monthly payroll execution
* Lead on HR-related projects and implement continuous improvement practices
* Oversee the Garda vetting function
Requirements:
* Third-level degree in HR or a related discipline (CIPD qualification preferable)
* 3+ years' relevant HR experience
* Thorough knowledge of human resource management principles and best practices
* Excellent knowledge of Irish employment legislation and regulations
* Excellent report-writing skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication
* Attention to detail and high level of organization
* High degree of computer literacy, including Word, Excel, CRM, website, and social media
