Business Development Manager – MICE and Leisure Groups

**Job Title:** Business Development Manager - MICE and Leisure Groups

**Reporting to:** Group Sales & Marketing Director / General Manager

**Scope:**

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving Group Sales and Revenue for Cork International Hotel, The Metropole Hotel, and other Trigon businesses. The focus is on the MICE market and Leisure Groups, involving proactive business development, key account management, and revenue strategies. This role supports Trigon Hotels' culture of teamwork, respect, customer focus, simplicity, and ownership.


Key Responsibilities:


Sales and Business Development

* Proactively source and secure new group business opportunities in MICE and leisure markets.
* Build relationships with event planners, corporate clients, and group organizers.
* Conduct site visits and presentations reflecting our guest-first mindset.
* Develop proposals to convert leads into business, providing exceptional service.
* Represent Trigon at trade shows and networking events, promoting the brand.


Revenue Generation and Strategic Planning

* Collaborate with the Group Director of Sales & Marketing on strategies.
* Work with Revenue Management to meet revenue targets.
* Use efficient workflows and reporting to track performance.
* Monitor market conditions and identify new opportunities.


Client Relationship Management

* Serve as the main contact for Leisure Group clients.
* Use platforms like LinkedIn to foster professional connections.
* Gather client feedback for service improvement.
* Build loyalty and develop tailored packages.


Collaboration and Cross-Property Coordination

* Partner with marketing to develop campaigns.
* Coordinate cross-property packages for seamless experience.
* Share learnings and support team development.


Performance Indicators:

* Meet or exceed revenue targets.
* Maintain an active pipeline of leads.
* Ensure repeat business through relationship-building.
* Develop new business within MICE and Leisure segments.
* Conduct market reviews and provide recommendations.
* Utilize digital tools for reporting and client experience.
* Champion eco-friendly initiatives.
* Maintain accurate data and conduct team training.
