Job Description
To meet growing demand for our consultancy services, we are seeking a Principal Consultant with database development, management, process and data mapping, and data analysis skills to join our specialist Turner & Townsend Technology consulting team.
The role involves supporting a wide range of projects of all sizes and dimensions, and we seek an individual with a strong track record of delivering data and analytics projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Understand clients' data and systems
2. Map out and establish end-to-end data processes and flows
3. Evaluate, design, implement, and manage database solutions
4. Extract and integrate large datasets from multiple sources
5. Implement data validation and cleansing processes
6. Setup and maintain automated reporting processes
7. Test and secure existing systems to ensure optimal performance
8. Provide technical expertise in delivering business requirements
Qualifications
1. Experience with Microsoft Power Platform
2. Consulting and business analysis skills (e.g. MoSCoW method) to understand clients' requirements
3. Produce technical specifications
4. Experience in Azure platform (e.g. Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Blob Storage)
5. Experience working as a Database Analyst or Database Developer
6. Ability to program in languages such as SQL, .NET, Python, and Bash script
7. Understand data warehouse, data modeling, and ETL concepts
8. Understand and design business intelligence and reporting architecture
9. Understand concepts of dimensions, measures, metadata & schemas
10. Understand analytical processing
Desirable Skills & Experience:
1. Degree educated or equivalent experience in a technical subject
2. Strong analytical skills
3. Advanced Excel and VBA skills
