Job Overview
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for performing on-site and workshop installation, service, maintenance, validation, upgrade, calibration, and repair of complex medical equipment and systems.
Key responsibilities include investigating faults, approving and signing off documentation, and providing customer operational and maintenance training.
This role serves as the company liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects.
Responsibilities
1. Fault finding, service, and repair of medical, lab, and life science equipment
2. Organizing and scheduling service and repair calls
3. Updating IT service and repair system
4. Requisitioning spare parts with procurement team
5. Attending training courses and refresher training as required
6. Review of process and equipment maintenance documentation and SOPs
7. Carrying out activities in compliance with company, EHS, and regulatory requirements
8. Participating in cross-functional teams
9. Ensuring compliance with all quality, health, and safety regulations
10. Working in accordance with work instructions, safe working practices, and method statements
11. Attending internal and external training courses
12. Conducting on-site installation of complex equipment and following testing procedures
13. Providing troubleshooting and repair support for customers and other field service personnel
14. Traveling to customer sites to resolve problems or support other field service personnel
15. Completing and submitting field service reports
16. Providing training for customers and users on system maintenance
Requirements
* 1-2 years of experience working with medical and life sciences equipment (ideally)
* University degree (desirable) and/or equivalent relevant experience in electronic and mechanical system troubleshooting
* Hands-on technical experience installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating complex equipment
* Full clean driver's license
