As a Data Engineer in our Business Intelligence team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining data solutions, creating efficient data pipelines, and ensuring data quality and accessibility for LearnUpon's core product and data warehouse. You'll participate in developing scalable data solutions and contribute to our great company culture.What will I be doing?Consistently deliver impact by completing assigned data engineering tasks and meeting agreed commitmentsDesign and implement well-reasoned data solutions for assigned projects, focusing on quality and craftsmanshipCollaborate primarily within your team, actively engaging to gain alignment and deliver customer value through data-driven insightsProactively seek to understand LearnUpon's data systems, technologies, processes, and decisionsContinuously improve team processes and data qualityMaintain AI models and the associated infrastructureInformally mentor and support onboarding of team members in data-related tasksParticipate in interviewing to attract world-class data engineering candidatesAlign your day-to-day work with the team's vision, mission, and strategy for data management and utilizationWhat skills do I need? 4+ years experience in data engineering, working with large-scale data processing systemsProficiency in SQL and experience with at least one programming language (e.g. Python, Java, or Scala)Understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing conceptsExperience with cloud-based data technologiesDemonstrated working knowledge of AWS, particularly with key services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and LambdaKnowledge of data pipeline tools and orchestration frameworksAbility to work effectively in an Agile environmentStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent communication skills in English, both written and verbalCuriosity and eagerness to learn new data technologies and best practicesCommitment to putting the customer at the heart of everything you doWillingness to take ownership of your work and act like an ownerExperience with MySQL, Snowflake, Airflow, Fivetran, & SupersetDon't worry if you don't tick every box in order to apply, we're always happy to review applications and take all experience into consideration.
