An exciting opportunity to work as part of a dynamic team within ChildVisionAbout the Role:ChildVision's Reading Services is a national service that transcribes educational material for all students with a registered visual impairment, in primary and secondary education, in both mainstream and special schools across Ireland. We transcribe school books into a variety of accessible formats including braille, large print, digital and 3D.We currently have a vacancy for an administrator, this role will ensure the efficient running of administrative tasks within the department. This is an exciting opportunity to work in within a team that provides accessible formats to visually impaired students across the country. Reading Services also supports a Children's and Resource Library service and Assistive Technology use with our students. The successful candidate will also be required to fulfil some transcription work when time allows.This role will also provide reception cover for the main ChildVision campus. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service and create a positive first impression. They will greet and assist visitors, parents and students, answer phone calls, handle inquiries alongside administrative duties.Full training will be provided to all new team membersSkills:EssentialAt least 2 years' administration/reception experienceHighest attention to detailHigh level of computer literacy, preferably ECDL or equivalent levelA detail-oriented individual who can follow processes and meet deadlinesExcellent organisational skillsGood knowledge of the Irish education system at both primary and secondary school levelA friendly, team-focused attitude and a pleasant, approachable manner.AdvantageousPrevious experience working in the disability sectorExperience in data entry and using databasesAn interest in supporting the inclusive and accessible education of visually impaired studentsOther:Eligible to work in Ireland.Full reference checks and Garda vetting is applicable in respect of this position.Applicants must be available for in person interview and should also be eligible to work in Ireland.Benefits:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunity to contribute to the lives of children with visual impairments.Supportive and collaborative work environment.Professional development opportunities.Employee Assistance Program.Bike-to-Work scheme.On-site parking.Company pensionEmployee assistance programWellness programChildVision is an equal opportunities employer
