Job Title : Semiconductor IQ Equipment Engineer

The Installation & Qualification Engineer plays a critical role in bringing new semiconductor manufacturing tools online and ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and safety standards. The role involves overseeing equipment installation, commissioning, qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), and supporting early-life performance in a cleanroom environment. The engineer will collaborate closely with tool vendors, process engineering, facilities, and production teams to ensure smooth integration of new equipment into high-volume manufacturing.
Equipment Installation & Commissioning
* Lead technical planning and execution of installation activities for new semiconductor tools in the Etch area.
* Review vendor installation drawings, schematics, site requirements, and installation manuals.
* Coordinate infrastructure readiness (gas, chemical, electrical, vacuum, exhaust, cooling water) with facilities teams.
* Manage tool acceptance testing and ensure compliance with factory specifications.
Equipment Qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ)
* Develop, execute, and document Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ) protocols.
* Perform tool calibration, process-stability verification, and capability testing (CP/CPK, matching studies).
* Validate safety and interlock systems in accordance with SEMI standards (SEMI S2/S8/S14, etc.).
* Ensure equipment meets production performance targets for uptime, repeatability, accuracy, and throughput.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
* Provide hands-on debugging and issue resolution during ramp-up and early production.
* Perform root cause analysis using structured methodologies (5-Why, Fishbone, DMAIC).
* Work with vendors to resolve technical non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
Documentation & Compliance
* Create and maintain documentation: qualification reports, installation records, change records, PM procedures, and risk assessments.
* Ensure adherence to safety, quality, environmental, and contamination-control requirements.
* Participate in audits (internal/external) and ensure tools meet quality/ISO/SEMI standards.
