Overview
Site Engineer position at EPS Group, Carrickmacross, County Monaghan, Ireland. The role involves supervising on-going site works and coordinating with EPS site staff and subcontractors for civil/structural works and MEICA installations, ensuring all site activities meet the highest HSQE standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the purchasing and acquisition of all BOQ items for projects including labour, parts and materials
* Timeline planning of all civil & MEICA installations from awarding of contract to completion and handover of all documentation
* Coordinate site labour for projects
* Support with the completion of projects on time and within budget
* Write engineering reports, method statements and commissioning schedules
* Manage Health & Safety documentation and enforce safe work practices onsite during EPS installations
* Ensure technical assessments are completed as required and technical issues are resolved without delay
* Manage submittals through the approvals process, track procurement and delivery of equipment and complete receipt verification on delivery
* Liaise with design team & supply chain to ensure systems comply with specifications and drawings
* Attend quality meetings and participate in QA/QC walk downs when required
* Evaluate RFI responses to identify engineering issues
* Review and respond to technical queries from site regarding specifications/drawings/materials/equipment
* Ensure site supervisors are working from the latest drawings at all times
* Issue requisitions and ensure delivered materials meet specifications and submittals
Key Competencies And Skills
* Proficiency in PC software including reading AutoCAD and MS Office and project software
* Working knowledge of conditions of contracts
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Strong engineering, analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Strong collaborative skills and ability to work effectively in a team
* Organise and plan technical meetings with clients and consulting engineers
* Ability to set goals and plans to prioritise and meet deadlines
* Experience in project engineering/site management/Civil &/or MEICA installation; personnel management; water/wastewater industry experience is advantageous
Qualifications
* Third level Civil or Mechanical Engineering degree
* 3+ years experience in a similar role
* Full EU/Irish driving licence
