Fehily Timoney and Company (FT) is one of Ireland’s largest Irish owned consultants with centres of excellence in Sustainable Infrastructure, Circular Economy, Environment, and Energy and Planning. FT provides planning, environmental studies, preliminary planning design to our clients in the renewable energy sector and provides design and contract management services for the construction of infrastructure projects such as roads, greenways, bridgeworks, rail, solid waste facilities, renewable energy, drainage, water and wastewater treatment facilities, airports, tunnels and gas pipelines.
FT is looking to recruit a Principal Engineer who will work as an integral member of the Energy team in the Cork, Dublin or Carlow office, aiding the expansion of the Energy and Planning business and working closely with fellow professionals. This position offers exposure to a broad range of areas within the Energy and Planning sector including, but not limited to, project management, environmental assessment and preliminary design for renewable energy projects.
FT's Responsibilities
* Preparation of and approval of technical reports
* Planning and managing design work, working closely with project teams
* Tender and proposal preparation
* Ensuring compliance with our quality assurance and management systems and relevant health and safety legislation
* Coordinating his/her work with other members of the team
* Managing client relationships
Skills / Qualifications
* Degree in Civil Engineering
* 12 years post-graduate experience
* Chartered Engineer status
* Experience in Project Managing the preliminary civil design of renewable energy projects is desirable but not mandatory
* Excellent communication, organisation and analytical skills required
* Experience of engaging with external stakeholders, clients and sub-contractors
* Flexible and a good team player
* Works efficiently and on own initiative
