Group Payroll Officer Location: Co. Laois (Full-time, Permanent) We are partnering with a well-established Irish manufacturing organisation to recruit a Group Payroll Officer. This role offers responsibility for managing payroll across ROI and NI, supporting 400+ employees in a busy, multi-site environment. The Role You will take ownership of end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. Reporting to the Group HR Manager with a functional link to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in payroll operations while supporting HR and Finance teams. Key Responsibilities Full payroll processing for 400+ employees across ROI & NI Ensure compliance with PAYE, PRSI, USC, NIC and statutory requirements Pension administration and liaising with providers Monthly reconciliations and payroll-related financial reporting Preparation and posting of payroll journals Handling payroll queries in a professional manner Supporting HR and Finance with reporting and audits Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation About You Minimum 5 years' high-volume payroll experience, ideally in manufacturing or production Recognised payroll qualification (IPASS or equivalent) desirable Strong understanding of ROI & NI payroll legislation Proficiency in Excel, with Collsoft and Softworks experience an advantage Detail-focused, confidential, and able to manage multiple priorities Strong communication and problem-solving skills What's on Offer This is a permanent role offering stability, sector experience, and the opportunity to take ownership of group-wide payroll.
