We have long been associated with many of the most significant advances in eye health, and we believe we are well positioned to continue leading the advancement of eye health in the future.Principal Responsibilities:Performing planned routine maintenance on Facilities equipment, including;Steam, generation and distribution (Fire-tube boilers)Purified Water (Class )Thermal sterilization – Ventilated AutoclavesHVAC (Clean room environment to ISO Class 8 or similar) and filter replacementCompressed Air generation- distribution (ISO8573-1:2010 Class 2)Automatic pumped sprinkler systemClosed loop water systems, Chilled, process cooling, LPHW.Potable and domestic water systems.ATEX equipment & IPA Distribution SystemsComputerised Maintenance Management System (PEMAC)Responding to breakdowns of Facilities equipment.Completion of necessary documentation of validated GMP systems on a rotation basis.Be familiar with, and support routine statutory inspections on facilities equipmentSupport key site projects, on various facilities servicesSupport facility department projects, for continuous improvement.Support facility department, on annual audits, EHS, FM Global, NSAI, IMB, FDA, ISO50001Interaction and fault finding diagnostics via the site's BMSAssist the Facilities Engineer's to optimise the efficiency of plant equipmentReceiving deliveries of pure/waste IPA and Facilities maintenance equipmentParticipate in Facilities multiskilling activities, if/or once trainedMay be necessary to provide emergency stand by cover on rotational basisMust be available to support the site during the Christmas shutdown and August Bank Holiday Weekend shutdown planned works.RequirementsRecognised mechanical qualification (e.g. National Craft Certificate)Minimum of three years, experience working in a facilities/utilities role in an FDA regulated environmentExperience of working with plant utilities, including Steam Boilers and steam distribution, Purified Water Systems (Generation and Storage), Compressed Air, HVAC, Water systems, chilled, cooling, heating, potable DHW, Solvent Systems and ATEX Systems is a distinct advantage.Experience of Sterilisers/Autoclaves a distinct advantageKnowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS).Knowledge of planned preventative maintenance systems (PEMAC)High level of ability in problem solving and troubleshootingAbility to work on own initiativeExcellent communication skills.Bausch & Lomb is committed to equal employment opportunity and complies with equal employment opportunity laws in effect wherever it operates.
