Inspire Structures is a specialist in the management and inspection of infrastructure assets, such as railway structures. They provide safety-focused, high-precision structure inspections, competency assessments, associated training, and engineering services to asset owners.
Please note, this is a remote, home-based role, however you will ideally be based within around four hours of London as there are requirements for regular travel to customer sites and occasional visits to our offices.
What will you be doing?
As a Lead Project Engineer for Inspire Structures, part of British Engineering Services Group, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and safely delivering multiple infrastructure inspection and examination projects for a range of clients across the UK.
You will:

Lead and coordinate multiple inspection projects, ensuring safe, timely and high‑quality delivery.
Assist in tendering for new work by providing planning analysis and resource estimates.
Manage daily operations to ensure that Inspire Structures achieves specific goals in productivity, output and cost.
Support and mentor examiners, ensuring strong team performance and development.
Build positive client relationships and represent Inspire Structures at client progress meetings

To join our team, you will need:

Extensive experience in structures examinations (ideally within infrastructure or rail environments) and strong knowledge of relevant standards and specifications.
Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, including planning, resourcing and programme management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to produce clear reports and present information to clients and colleagues.
Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
