The role: Assist in developing complex specifications and managing the tender process through to contract award across a range of goods, services and works. Prepare and deliver annual category plans, achieving key performance indicators with a focus on value for money, sustainability and market analysis. Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, providing expert advice, identifying future needs and skilfully managing expectations. Identify opportunities to reduce duplication and streamline procurement processes across designated areas. Oversee supplier performance, develop strategic relationships with key suppliers and ensure alignment with organisational objectives. Ensure compliance with legal requirements, manage procurement risks, and undertake financial appraisal, life cycle costing and business case development. Lead and coordinate contributions from colleagues and specialists, support professional development, engage with external groups, and contribute to wider organisational goals. The Person As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience: Essential Criteria: Strong procurement experience in Category Management.
