Job Opportunity: Security Operations & Compliance Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Operations & Compliance Engineer to play a crucial role in protecting our internal systems, networks, and cloud services. This position involves hands-on security work, compliance, and risk activities, requiring day-to-day involvement in monitoring, assessments, and control improvements.
* Ensure internal security processes and controls are up-to-date and effectively implemented.
* Conduct routine assessments, security checks, and vulnerability reviews across systems and networks.
* Collaborate with teams across the business to promote secure practices and drive adoption of security standards.
* Monitor alerts, analyze security data, and support investigations when issues arise.
* Maintain network and endpoint protection measures across firewalls, EDR, VPNs, and related tools.
* Assist with backup and recovery processes, ensuring key systems remain resilient.
* Review log data, identify weak points, and support improvements to overall security readiness.
* Strong knowledge of general security operations and hands-on experience with common security tools.
* Familiarity with SIEM use, incident handling, and basic investigation workflows.
* Practical exposure to firewalls, VPN setups, endpoint protection, detection systems, and vulnerability tooling.
* Understanding of access control concepts, identity systems, directory services, MFA, and permissions models.
* Awareness of cloud security concepts (Azure/AWS desirable).
