 
        
        The Practice Development Coordinator (Assistant Director of Midwifery and Nursing grade) is a member of the Senior Midwifery Management Team with overall responsibility for midwifery & other students on clinical placement whilst undertaking the educational programs in Trinity College Dublin and other HEIs. The post holder will also be responsible for the roles and functions of the Practice Development Unit (PDU) at the Rotunda Hospital. The post holder will be required to support the Director of Midwifery and Nursing with the operational management of the Hospital on an 'as required' basis.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
Be a registered Midwife & Nurse or eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
Hold an appropriate healthcare related Primary Degree
Hold an appropriate Management qualification
Qualification at Master's level in a health/related area
Have a minimum of 7 years post registration experience to include comprehensive midwifery, nursing and managerial experience
Have experience of working with Student Midwives (BSc & HDip) in clinical practice
Desirable:
Experience in teaching and assessment course
Skills and Knowledge
 * Ability to communicate effectively in a multidisciplinary team
 * Excellent interpersonal, influencing and organisational skills
 * Evidence of leadership and motivation skills
 * Ability to resolve conflicts
