Purpose Of The Role
We are currently recruiting a Warehouse Team Lead, working as part of our Logistics Team in our Head Office based in Athlone, Co. Westmeath. The core responsibilities of this role involve supporting the Warehouse Supervisor, leading and mentoring a high-performing warehouse team and managing daily operations. It is a busy role, so managing multiple stakeholders, juggling a variety of tasks at any given time is critical. This is an excellent opportunity to grow and develop your career in this field.
Job Responsibilities
* Assist the Warehouse Supervisor in day to day activities and act as cover when needed.
* Lead, motivate & support the team, helping to drive a high performance culture.
* Manage and organise daily picking requirements and monitor operation of the warehouse ensuring all orders are completed in line with customer commitments.
* Ensure accuracy on pick, pack, shipments, and inventory transactions.
* Demonstrate best practice across all areas of responsibility inspiring people to engage and deliver key business results.
* Support the team to allow them to grow their skills and promote development within the team.
* Organise and maintain inventory and storage area.
* Assist with resolving operational irregularities and customer complaints.
* Identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions.
* Ensure operational processes are followed and work is performed to the standards of Good Distribution practice (GDP).
* Ensure all warehouse activities adhere to health and safety regulations, company policies, and procedures.
* Assist in the upkeep of customer revenue data streams.

Experience Required
* Must have a minimum 1-year team lead experience.
Skills Required
* Flexibility with regard to working hours is essential, may be required to work in an off site warehouse from September to Christmas.
* Continuous improvement mind-set and proven ability to develop procedures.
* Self-directed working style and capable of making well informed decisions.
* Strong communication skills and effective relationship building with customers.
* Results driven with excellent attention to detail.
* Proficient in MS Office skills in particular excellent Microsoft excel skills.
* Strong administrative skills.
* Excellent knowledge of English (verbal/ written).
* Good organizational and time management skills.
* Prepared to work in a highly dynamic work environment.
