We're recruiting for an Operational Risk and Control Manager to join our Operational Risk team based in Dublin.
Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Risk Manager, this role will support building and maintaining a sound Operational Risk Framework in line with AXA Group and local standards to ensure that we continue to meet industry best practices and ensure all identified risks and controls are documented and assessed with the business on a regular basis.
In addition, this role will ensure, in conjunction with Group Risk Management, FRM and the business areas, that AXA Ireland holds the required level of operational risk capital through the leading the continual improvements within the risk management frameworks.

You'll work majority of your week away from home. Away from home means either attendance at one of our head office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.
What you'll be doing\:
· Lead the design and implementation of an effective Operational Risk Framework across AXA Ireland. This will include reviewing, on an ongoing basis, all Risk Registers and controls to ensure that a complete set of risks and controls are in place. Add or remove appropriate or redundant controls as necessary. This will require significant interaction outside of the Risk Department, including attending team meetings across the business
· Management of action tracking processes, including Risk escalation issues, ensuring that regular updates are provided to senior management, and reported to key committees, as required. This will include pro-actively driving the closure of any outstanding issues, working with colleagues and business action owners on an ongoing basis.
· Offers recommendations and proactive assistance to local management and Group in respect of building and maintaining a sound risk framework.
Support local processes to ensure that AXA Ireland holds the required level of operational risk capital.
· Oversee the production of reports for Ireland and UK risk committee and local risk forum.
· Produce reports to the Chief Risk Officer reviewing the potential weakness of existing controls and make recommendations to the Chief Risk Officer on improvements that should be implemented. While detailing any escalations in the month and the current status of any previous escalations.
