We are seeking a dynamic Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to join our growing global team in Galway, Ireland. This role offers some flexibility with scheduling while primarily working onsite at our Galway office. The environment is business casual, and you will work with a small team. Candidates with strong financial forecast modeling skills and granular budget modeling experience are encouraged to apply. Experience with multinational companies is preferred.
General Accountabilities
Lead and develop global financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives.
Support financial reporting and closing processes, providing analytics with key performance indicators (KPIs) and variance analysis monthly, quarterly, and annually.
Develop and own the monthly financial forecast model and granular budget model, following best practices in modeling.
Provide insights into cost and revenue drivers, including opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
Implement best practices in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and performance tracking.
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to align financial goals with business strategies.
Identify and pursue opportunities for business process optimization, ensuring data-driven analysis and recommendations.
Streamline financial processes and enhance data accuracy.
Lead and develop the Financial Planning & Analysis function to support business results.
Work closely with the financial controller to ensure accurate mapping of actuals versus budgets across chart of accounts, departments, and classes.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
5+ years of relevant industry experience.
Expertise in financial modeling (including GAAP P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow), scenario planning, and business case analysis.
Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and interpret data to resolve business issues.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment and adapt to growth and change.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience motivating teams in dynamic environments to achieve results and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple functions/divisions.
Proficiency in financial planning systems (e.g., Oracle, Hyperion, Anaplan, Adaptive Insights).
Experience supporting senior management, with an executive presence and the ability to challenge the status quo and build relationships.
Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS standards.
