Job Summary:

Our organization is seeking an experienced and compassionate Social Care Worker to join our team in Kilcullen, Kildare. As a Social Care Worker, you will be responsible for supporting adults with physical and intellectual disabilities, autism, and other support needs to live an ordinary life in a community-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support adults with physical and intellectual disabilities, autism, and other support needs to live independently and participate fully in their communities.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote the health, wellbeing, and social inclusion of service users.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that ensure high-quality care and support services are delivered to service users.
* Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the decision-making process regarding the delivery of services.
* Perform administrative tasks such as documenting case notes, maintaining accurate records, and completing reports as required.

Requirements:

* Hold a minimum of a Level 7 on the QQI Framework – BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification in Health or Social Care.
* Have at least 1 year of experience working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
* Experience working with challenging behaviors.
* Strong working knowledge of legislation in place to protect vulnerable adults.
* Applicants must hold a full, clean manual driver's license and availability of own car for this post.
* Understanding of current policy and developments at national and sectoral level in relation to Social Care within disability services.
* Ability to follow, evaluate and contribute to the further development of plans and methods to meet the ongoing needs of individuals supported.
* Effective interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
* Proficient IT skills relevant to the role, to include Microsoft Office Excel, Word, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
