The aim of this job is to assist a woman who, although a powerhouse of ability, energy and capacity, because of a physical impairment requires very particular kinds of assistance to carry out certain tasks relating to her life and her work, thus enabling her to live independently.
The position is offered on a part-time, pro-rata basis with up to 10 hours a week available for the right candidate.
The ideal person will have excellent listening and communication skills and be willing and able to follow instructions precisely and carry out requests without question.
The nature of the tasks involves assisting in daily life, work and leisure activities. The role is not difficult for somebody who is willing to listen and follow simple instructions and who appreciates, understands and accepts that taking direction is the key aspect of the job.
We have one long term staff member within this role currently and we are recruiting for a 2nd person.

Job Duties:
Facilitating and assisting in a variety of daily living activities. These include artistic work and household duties. Candidate must understand and accept the philosophy of independent living to successfully carry out this role
Terms and Conditions: €15.00 starting rate of pay rising to €20 based on experience in the role.
Basic rate x 1.5 on a Sundays

Example of hours of work:
9-12 hours per week on a flexible rota agreed monthly in advance (possibly more with occasional relief cover)
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 10.00am to 13.00
and /or and Friday 09.00 to 13.00
