Our client, one of Europe’s largest airline groups, is seeking an accomplished and proactive Senior Manager to lead their Sustainability and ESG initiatives. This pivotal role, based at their Dublin headquarters, reports directly to the Head of Sustainability & Finance.
As the Senior Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting the organization’s leadership in driving environmental responsibility, and advancing its ESG objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the collection, validation, and preparation of data to ensure compliance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
2. Maintain and enhance internal controls supporting CSRD compliance, coordinating effectively with auditors as required.
3. Manage and prepare disclosures for the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP).
4. Collaborate with ESG rating agencies to sustain and improve performance metrics.
5. Monitor developments in aviation sustainability, offering insights and strategies to enhance the company’s environmental initiatives.
6. Track, analyze, and report on key ESG metrics, ensuring progress toward established goals.
7. Deliver detailed reports and analyses to address ad hoc requests.
Qualifications & Experience
1. A degree in environmental science, engineering, finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum of two years of professional experience, with a strong emphasis on sustainability, particularly in leading CSRD projects to ensure timely delivery and compliance with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) framework.
3. Audit background an advantage but not essential.
4. Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and recommend improvements to sustainability practices.
5. Exceptional communication skills, with the confidence to engage and influence senior stakeholders effectively.
6. A genuine passion for sustainability and a commitment to advancing environmental stewardship.
