Are you an experienced procurement professional with strong supplier management skills and a background in stock control? We are seeking a Procurement Manager to take ownership of purchasing and stock management for a well-established hardware and building supplies business. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Newcastle West, Co. Limerick.

To strengthen operations further, they are now seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities
The Procurement Manager will oversee purchasing and stock control for the store, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective supply of products. Key responsibilities include:
1. Manage supplier records, pricing files, and stock orders, ensuring accuracy and timely processing;
2. Monitor and control stock levels, resolve supplier queries, and oversee returns;
3. Source new products, coordinate promotions with suppliers and marketing, and expand product offerings;
4. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships through regular meetings and effective negotiation;
5. Review purchasing reports, improve procurement processes, and apply sound judgement in supplier selection;
6. Represent the company at supplier visits, trade shows, and training when required.

Criteria
13. Minimum of 2 years' experience in procurement or purchasing;
14. Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills;
15. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint);
16. Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a busy environment;
17. Strong organisational skills with a proactive and problem-solving approach.
