Job Description
We’re recruiting a Catering Officer Grade 2 to assist in the management of catering operations in a healthcare facility in Dublin 1. This role involves supporting daily service delivery, maintaining hygiene and food safety standards, and ensuring the smooth running of a high‑quality catering service.
* Support Catering Operations: Assist in supervising and coordinating daily catering activities.
* Team Supervision: Oversee staff rosters, training, and performance under the guidance of the Catering Officer Grade 1.
* Food Safety & Hygiene: Ensure full compliance with HACCP, health, and safety standards.
* Menu & Service Coordination: Support planning and delivery of nutritious and well‑balanced meals.
* Stock Control: Monitor inventory and assist with ordering and supplier coordination.
* Customer & Staff Interaction: Foster positive communication and teamwork across departments.
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and assist with audits and inspections.
Requirements
* Recognised qualification in Hotel, Catering, Institutional Management, or Dietetics (Degree, Diploma, or Certificate).
* Minimum one year’s experience managing or assisting in catering operations for an institution serving 200+ persons daily, or two years in a similar supervisory role.
* Strong knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene standards.
* Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Legal right to work in Ireland and successful Garda Vetting clearance.
