Overview
We are currently working alongside a growing manufacturing company based in Longford to hire 3 Automation Technician's to support the smooth operation of the production area. This role focuses on maintaining and optimizing automation equipment to ensure efficient manufacturing processes. This is a permanent, shift based position.
Responsibilities
* Diagnose and troubleshoot complex servo-driven systems, vacuum circuits, and automated machinery using digital multi-meters and technical documentation.
* Maintain and enhance existing automation systems to improve performance and reliability.
* Support production start-ups and changeovers, including tasks such as:
o Aligning and adjusting automation and robotic components
o Transferring equipment between presses
o Modifying stroke settings and replacing robot heads
* Learn and apply basic programming changes to robotic systems and automation equipment.
* Repair or replace mechanical and electrical components as needed.
* Collaborate with engineering and other departments to install and implement new automation solutions.
Requirements
* Strong mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn injection molding, assembly, decorating, and robotic systems.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic schematics, and mechanical drawings.
* Experience troubleshooting servo systems and vacuum circuits.
* Familiarity with PLC-controlled machinery (preferred).
* Basic computer skills and effective communication abilities.
* Team-oriented with good interpersonal skills.
