Design Coordinator - North Dublin

Overview of the role:
Our client is seeking to recruit a Design Co-ordinator to join their construction team on a large scale commercial project in North Dublin. Project-based and reporting directly to the Contracts Manager, the candidate will work with the site management team, the design team and supply chain to deliver coordinated, buildable and cost-effective co-ordinated design solutions.
They will be responsible for managing and coordinating the design process on the various CSA and MEP packages, ensuring sub-contractor detail designs are compliant, deliverable and aligned with client and design team requirements, statutory regulations and contractual obligations.
Duties of the Role:
* Manage the production and delivery of design information in line with programme requirements.
* Coordinate the inputs of consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to achieve fully integrated design solutions.
* Support the development and management of design programmes, deliverables and project reporting.
* Support the Coordination and track the submittal and approval process of Designs and materials ensuring Client Representative sign off and approvals
* Ensure timely resolution of design queries and interface issues across CSA and MEP subcontract packages
Skills / Experience required for the role:
* Degree / Higher Diploma qualification in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
* Working knowledge of latest building regulation and certification standards
* Experience in managing consultants and subcontractor design packages.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational / planning skills.
* To be self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative
* Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
