At EY, we are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Senior, Assistant Manager and Trade Consultant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing business consulting services in the fields of global trade compliance and risk, trade data analytics, and modeling.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist with provision of global customs compliance services for multinational clients in various industries.
">
* Prepare responses to client queries by undertaking customs and excise technical research.
">
* Support management in delivering multiple parallel projects, ensuring technical excellence and a pragmatic business-driven approach.
">
* Contribute to winning new work by proactively listening to existing clients' needs and identifying opportunities for additional/new client work.
">
* Assist the team as a subject matter resource (SMR) to develop automated solutions for compliance and cost-saving propositions.
">
* Deploy data analytics tools and solutions for client implementations.
">
* Support the Global Trade team in identifying and building internal and external opportunities.
">
* Design and implement trade classification frameworks using HS codes and tariff schedules for accurate product classification and duty optimization across multiple jurisdictions.
">
* Conduct trade flow mapping and scenario modeling to identify cost-saving opportunities and compliance risks in global supply chains, leveraging tools such as SAP GTS, Oracle GTM, or similar platforms.
">
* Develop and maintain customs valuation methodologies in line with WTO and local customs authority guidelines, ensuring consistency and defensibility in audits and reviews.
">

Requirements:
">

* At least degree-level qualification.
">
* Strong critical thinking, curiosity, effective time management, client/commercial awareness, and ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
">
* Experience and/or appreciation of International Trade, Trade Policy, and the International Relations arena.
">
* Excellent research, analysis, and synthesis skills, preferably in the field of trade, trade policy, tax policy, or related fields.
">
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
">
* Outgoing team player with strong relationship-building skills.
">
* Strong IT skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and understanding of data analytics principles and software advantageous.
">
* Practical knowledge of import and export processes, trade procedures, and documentation would be advantageous.
